Brighton, UK – 7AB
After Brexit and the pandemic years, this was the first time a group of us could spend a project week in the UK again. We were hosted by UK families in the seaside town of Brighton. We learned that the British way of life is different from ours in some ways and we sure learned to love some of our hosts sweet pets. Our mornings were spent at a language school were our teachers tried to make learning English lots of fun. In the afternoons we went on trips with our group – to the small village of Rottingdean where we had Cream Tea, to the old market town of Lewes where we explored a historic castle. Another fun activity for us was to roam the many book stores and thrift shops in Brighton. At the weekend we went to London saying hello to Big Ben, the Tower of London, Oxford Street. Another highlight was our hike in Seven Sisters national park with stunning views of the chalk cliffs and the Channel. After a week many of us were sure: this is a place we want to come back to!
